Late Night
Indifferent to the black outside, the blank pages fall out of the sky--fresh snow to cover up any tracks of progress.

Shallow Space Exploration
Once in an intro bio psych course I suggested that a good way to learn about the brain would be to monitor individual neurons. My professor, who once brought in his baby to showcase the Moro Reflex, said it would be like following around a single person for a day to learn about the Earth.
This was years ago but it stuck with me. I am always sad that I didn't advance in school and go on to study some very deep mechanical, chemical, physical mystery. Yes, it would have been exciting. But it would be difficult to answer the global questions from such a finite pursuit.
I haven't come up with the answers yet, so I will start asking the questions. It'll only be a matter of time.

The Enterprising citizens of NYC Ignore The Enterprise
Not having seen it firsthand, I would quickly dismiss this as just another fable. There is nothing unsettling about seeing a space shuttle strapped, mattress-style, to the back of a 747. In fact, were it not for my familiar landmarks, the sight would be almost normal.

Taken: 04/27/2012 from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade in Brooklyn, NY. NASA sent its test shuttle, the Enterprise, to NYC for gazing upon. Not enough people were out, not enough people cared. Its resting place by the Intrepid will still draw crowd, so maybe not all is lost.

Unrefined
I met with disapproval. We parted amicably.
In retrospect this was not a glaring understake (like a mistake but less glaring).

Dear Editor
Dear Editor,
You've been brought back from the dead. Please congratulate yourself in the next issue.

Unparted Ways
Unremarked in the fight, the fruitful challenge of брак.
My frustrations set sail, winded and wound-tight. We, with lips tight, split the night and sat our ground.
